CEPLIS is very saddened to announce the passing of our former Board MmeberJerry Carroll, who has represented the Irish Interprofessional Association within our group for more than ten years.
Jerry was born and raised in Dublin where he lived until his recent passing. He began his career in the Public Service, where he spent 37 years working in various government departments including the Department of Finance. Following this, Jerry became Director for the Bar Council of Ireland and held the role for 17 years until his retirement. During his tenure with the Bar Council and after his retirement, Jerry was very active in working with other professional groups, in particular through his involvement with the Irish Inter Professional Association and with CEPLIS, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He had a keen interest in politics, current affairs and sports – particularly when it came to the Dublin Gaelic football team. Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, his four children, five grandchildren and by friends and colleagues.
