News from our members: TeleNursing – Improving the Digital Skills of Nurses

Our member the European Nursing Council (ENC) is currently an active partner of the European project TeleNursing (www.telenursing.eu).

Through this project, ENC and the other partners aim to develop a digital transformation plan to enhance the digital skills and the competence development of health professionals at the front line of healthcare services provision.

The identified gaps in digital skills in the technologies and tools of telecare, from the side of nurses and midwives, pose a significant burden in providing such services seamlessly, resulting in unsupported telecare healthcare. Innovative tools could ease the work of professionals and render them more efficient by utilizing fewer resources and increasing the quality of life of citizens.

The core aim of the project is to empower nurses, a professional sector that is always on the front line of the struggle for public health and safety, with digital competencies to operate routine practice remotely through telecare.

On January 22nd, 2025, the final conference of this project will take place in Brussels, analyzing the implementation of the project and the broader future of TeleMedicine in Europe. For more information, please get in touch here: secretary-enc@enc-eu.org
