Ownership and operation of pharmacies can be restricted to pharmacists alone

On the 19th of last May, the European Court of Justice has decided that Member States were allowed to restrict, through national law, the ownership and operation of pharmacies to pharmacists alone.

According to the Court, this restriction can be justified by the need to ensure that the provision of medicinal products to the public is reliable and of high quality.

An article will be dedicated to its important decision in the next issue of our Telegram.
