The second transnational seminar of the European SD4EU project of which CEPLIS is a partner under the leadership of Confprofessioni was held in Malta on Thursday, October 30, 2025. One of the outcomes of this seminar was to underline that true pay equality and the reduction of the gender pay gap cannot be decreed: they must be built through consultation, solidarity, and social dialogue.
It is by valuing every form of work, including the invisible work of care, that Europe can move closer to genuine pay equality. Activities that involve caring for others, meeting their vital physical and emotional needs, as well as domestic tasks, are often undervalued and underpaid, despite being essential to the functioning of society.

The next Seminar will take place in Athlone, Ireland, on November 19, followed by a concluding session in Brussels in March 2026.
